Booking & Cancellation Policy — Shaheen Taxi

1. Overview

This policy applies to rides booked with Shaheen Taxi by phone, online at www.shaheentaxi.ca, through our mobile app, or via dispatch. By requesting a ride, you agree to these terms.

2. Booking & confirmation

When you book a ride, our dispatch team confirms your pickup time, vehicle, and fare by phone or text — typically within 5 minutes (maximum 10 minutes). A driver is assigned after confirmation. For scheduled rides, please be ready at the agreed pickup location at the confirmed time.

3. Customer cancellations

You may cancel a booking at no charge if a driver has not yet been dispatched to your pickup, or if you cancel with reasonable notice before the driver is en route and waiting on site. Contact dispatch as soon as possible at 902-808-0120 or reply to your confirmation text.

4. Last-minute cancellation (driver on site)

If you cancel after your driver has arrived and is waiting for you at the pickup location, you will be charged the full quoted fare for that ride.

This applies when the driver has travelled to your address and is on site — for example, waiting outside your home, hotel, or the agreed meeting point — and you cancel at the last minute or decline to take the ride.

The full fare covers the driver's time, fuel, and travel to reach you. The amount charged is the fare that was quoted or confirmed for that booking (city ride, airport transfer, long-distance trip, or other service type).

5. No-shows

If you are not at the pickup location within a reasonable wait time after the driver arrives and cannot be reached by phone or text, the ride may be treated as a last-minute cancellation and the full quoted fare may apply.

6. Cancellations by Shaheen Taxi

We may cancel or reschedule a ride in rare cases — for example, severe weather, safety concerns, or vehicle availability. If we cancel your booking, you will not be charged. Our team will contact you to rebook or arrange an alternative when possible.
